Route 66 is about two young men travelling across America. The show ran weekly on CBS from 1960 to 1964. The series is best remembered for its iconic Chevrolet Corvette convertible and it's instrumental theme song, which became a major hit.

Route 66 is a hybrid between episodic television drama, which has continuing characters and situations, and  each week's show has a completely different cast and story. Route 66 has just three continuing characters, and is remembered as a cult classic!
