Synopsis:

From Paris to Czernowitz by way of Bucharest, Irma and her son André undertake a private journey across Europe in search of a past and a history for which only Irma can vouch. Through the life of this woman with a sense of humor and character, the film tenderly and poetically shows us the life and the reasons that have driven these foreigners to fight in the name of a country that is not theirs.
